About
Born Brit, fell in love with a Swede and then in love with Stockholm, where I’ve been based for the last two decades.
I have a background in aerospace, and spent several happy years creating simulations and jumping in and out of wind tunnels. I started a career with Ericsson in 1991 tweaking the SMS charging for GSM. Have experienced the transition of value added services in telecoms from the ‘inside the box’ via ‘walled garden’ to the open landscapes of today. Today I’m an intrapreneur (business innovation manager if you like) at the same company, looking at ideas in the multimedia space that can be new future business.
I started blogging internally, prompted by former colleague Erin McCloy (thanks!) as a way to spread the learnings from over 160 application cases.
This blog gets used heavily when I’m reporting from external events, I also try and make smaller posts from my smartphone as I commute (hence the mixed nature of the posts …).
